Effects of a Video Featuring Connected Speech Instruction on EFL Undergraduates in Taiwan

This study has the aim of improving English speaking ability Taiwanese college freshmen by a video featuring connected speech instruction. Forty-eight students from private university in northern Taiwan participated study, which lasted for 7 weeks. Pre- and post-tests were used to assess their performance terms before after experimental treatment. Entry exit questionnaires also investigate students’ learning attitudes. The results show that such instruction was significantly effective language learners’ skills. Positive observed outcomes questionnaires, showing enhanced attitudes speaking. It is hoped may offer teachers some insights into practice video-aided classes, particularly its efficacy speech.
